Guthierry Barbosa is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belts under Juan Lopes da Silva, who worked extensively with Diego Bispo, Guthierry’s older brother. Barbosa is also one of the main representatives of the Prime Team (PRM) / Carlson Gracie Academy coalition and is widely regarded as one of the top middleweight competitors of his generation, a reputation Guthierry earned while competing in the top tournaments of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) circuit.

His journey began in the vibrant fields of football in his hometown, where he developed his athletic foundation and team-centric mindset. However, recognizing his passion lay elsewhere, Barbosa shifted his focus to martial arts at the age of 13, a decision that steered his path toward becoming an inspiring coach.
Under the tutelage of the renowned Juan Lopes at Prime Team, Barbosa embraced the disciplines of martial arts with vigor, and his growth in the sport was rapid and impressive. This experience honed his ability to understand and teach the finer nuances of combat sports.
Traveling extensively for competitions, he quickly recognized the value of a supportive network for athletes.
